1. Who I Am

Mama Chickpea is a cozy corner of the internet where imagination meets handmade magic. Every item is lovingly created by hand and heart. Because I am small-batch, made-to-order (and a little bit magical), there’s a whole lot of personality in every piece.

2. One-of-a-Kind Goodness

I do our very best to show you what you’re getting — clear photos, heartfelt descriptions, and honest sizing details. But every single item is uniquely handmade, which means your order might look a tiny bit different than what you see on screen. That’s not a flaw — that’s the charm of my handmade items. ✨

Please embrace these tiny differences as part of the joy of owning something no one else in the universe has.

3. Placing an Order

Here’s how it works:

  • Browse, fall in love 💘, and place your order.
  • I lovingly prepare your item(s).
  • You receive a package that makes your mailbox happy.

By placing an order, you’re confirming that:

  • You’re over 18 (or have permission from a grown-up).
  • You’ve double-checked all custom details (like names, colors, etc.).
  • You understand this is a handmade process and timing may vary a little.

I reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order — but only if something goes really sideways (like if I’m suddenly out of materials, or there’s a pricing glitch from a wayward fairy).

4. Payment Magic

I accept major credit/debit cards, PayPal (coming soon), and other secure checkout options offered at the shop checkout.

  • Payment must be completed before I start creating your item.
  • All prices are in US dollars, and I may update pricing if needed.

5. Shipping & Delivery

  • Processing Time: Handmade with love takes time. Most orders ship within 5-7 business days, but during high-volume seasons, a bit more patience may be needed.
  • Shipping Options: You’ll see your choices and costs at checkout.
  • Tracking: You’ll get a tracking number once your order ships, so you can stalk your mailbox accordingly.
  • International Orders: Customs fees, duties, and taxes (if applicable) are your responsibility.

Once I hand your parcel over to the shipping fairy (aka the US postal service), it’s out of my hands. But I’ll do what I can to help if something goes wrong.

6. Returns & Refunds

I want you to love your purchase! But because everything is handmade (often made-to-order or personalized), here’s how I handle returns:

  • Custom or Personalized Items: These are generally non-returnable unless there’s an error on my part or a defect that is not caused by the shipping carrier. (If caused by the shipping carrier, there is USPS insurance on the package, included with the postage.
  • Non-Custom Items: If you’re unhappy, contact us within 7 days of delivery. Items must be returned in original condition and packaging. Buyer is responsible for return shipping.

If something arrived broken, damaged, or completely not what your order spelled out — email me with photos (including the damaged packaging, if applicable) within 5 days of receiving it. I’ll make it right. Pinky promise.

All the artwork, designs, product descriptions, photos, and branding on this site belong to Shelly Arroyo, A.k.a. Mama Chickpea. Please don’t copy, use, or reproduce anything without written permission. Creativity is my lifeblood — let’s respect it.

🔒 Privacy

I don’t like spam, and I assume you don’t either. Your personal info stays safe with me and is only used to fulfill your order or keep you in the loop (with your consent). See our [Privacy Policy] for the full scoop.

❌ Liability

I do my best to make your experience delightful. However, the Site and its contents are offered “as is.” I am not responsible for indirect losses, damages, or magical creatures stealing your mail (though if that happens, let me know — I am curious).

8. Changes to These Terms

I might update these Terms from time to time. When I do, I’ll post the changes here. Continued use of the site means you’re cool with the updates.
